GLSS-Great Lakes Super Sprints

Campbell Performance On Board for 2019

Merrill, MI – Great Lakes Super Sprints is pleased to have Campbell Performance back for our 4th season of working together.

Marshall Campbell of Lima, OH is the founder and owner of Campbell Performance and is one of Great Lakes Super Sprints biggest supporters! Marshall is starting his 54th year working in the sprint car industry.

In the early days back in the mid -1960’s, Marshall was getting his start working on motors and working on sprint cars. It was an exciting time in sprint car racing and Marshall had the opportunity to be part of a team taking part in the inaugural year of the All Stars Circuit of Champions in 1970. He also was involved with USAC and at many tracks in the Great Lakes Region and seeing the winners circle many times.

Marshall has also worked on many cars as a crew chief as well as owned and operated his own car with many different drivers driving for him over the years. In the last 20 years most of his time and energy is spent building engines with sprint car engines being his specialty.

Besides being an invaluable asset for Great Lakes Super Sprints in helping members with technical questions and trouble shooting, Marshall was instrumental in heading up the Sprint Car Parts Draft Program GLSS offers to drivers that run 90% of our races. Last year over $38,000 worth of parts were given out to the 14 drivers that qualified. This year That total is estimated to be over $75,000 to be distributed.

If you have questions, problems or are needing a motor freshened or rebuilt, give Marshall a call at 419-302-0507 or you can email him at lima@calvaryindustries.com (it may take a couple days for him to respond to emails).

You can follow all the Great Lakes Super Sprints action on Race Monitor, with live scoring and listening to the real time race announcing.
