GLSS-Great Lakes Super Sprints
GRESSMAN WINS BATTLE OF SPEED
Lake Odessa, MI - Billed as the Battle of Speed, between the Great Lakes Super Sprints and the American Ethanol Late Model Series, Phil Gressman (Helena, OH) accepted the challenge, and put his car up on the cushion and cruised into the winners circle for the 4th time in 12 races.
Rolling into I-96 Speedway, everyone had one eye on the sky and the other on the radar.
Quick time with a 14.68 second lap went to Gressman. Dustin Daggett (Portland, MI), Conner Morrell (Bradenton, FL), Brad Lamberson (Parma, MI) and Danny Sams III (Northport, FL) rounded out the top five qualifiers.
Kistler Engines & Racing Products Heat winner tonight was Linden Jones (Edwardsburg, MI), holding off Gressman, Andrew Scheid (Sparta, MI), Kyle Poortenga (Woodland, MI) and Michael Summers (Warsaw, IN).
Chase Ridenour wins the Campbell Performance Heat Race 2 over Daggett, Sams, Garrett Saunders (Lakeville, IN)I and Shawn Murray (Jacksonville, FL).
In the Perfit/Engine Pro Heat 3, Gregg Dalman dominated early winning over Trevor Berry (Clio, MI), Morrell, Andy Chehowski (Coldwater, MI) and Jared Lamberson (Parma, MI)
With a 6 car dash instead of a pill draw to determine starting position in the front 3 rows, Gressman lead all the way with Daggett claiming the other spot on the front row. Jones and Berry secure the second row and Ridenour and Dalman start in the 3rd row.
In the feature, Gressman is on a rail and secures his 4th win of the season. Rounding out the top 5 were Ridenour, Dalman, Daggett and Morrell.
