AELMT & GLSS Event at I-96 CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
Lake Odessa, MI (Friday, October 11, 2019) - The American Ethanol Late Model Tour and Great Lakes Super Sprints event at I-96 Speedway, scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2019 has been cancelled due to weather. Constant rains throughout Friday with very low temperatures overnight, combined with forecasted race temperatures in the forties on Saturday, event organizers have cancelled the event. A suitable rain date could not be found that works for all organizing parties. The race will not be rescheduled.
The American Ethanol Late Model Tour and Great Lakes Super Sprints thank their fans, teams and marketing partners for a great 2019 race season.
The next event for the American Ethanol Late Model Tour is the Championship Awards Banquet on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the new One Ethanol Headquarters in Lowell, Michigan. More information about the Championship Awards Banquet and final American Ethanol Late Model Tour Championship Standings will be announced soon. The new Great Lakes Lightning Sprints will have a Series meeting at I-96 Speedway on Saturday, October 12th at 2:00pm as previously scheduled. The meeting will take place in the enclosed pavilion behind the I-96 Speedway ticket booth. Anyone interested in learning more about Great Lakes Lightning Sprints is welcome.
