GLSS-Great Lakes Super Sprints
OHIO CAT SPRINT DIVISION OPENER POSTPONED
Waynesfield, OH - The plug was pulled on the Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro & ARP Opener scheduled for Saturday, April 13th at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
The Waynesfield area received rain Monday after the eclipse and the next two nights. The straw that broke the camels back is the rain all night Wednesday and Thursday nights. Leaving upwards of 3" of rain that had accumulated over 4 days. Leaving the ground saturated and soft.
Many people don't realize the time and effort Larry Boos and his staff at Waynesfield Raceway Park put in this week trying to keep the grounds pumped and giving the facility a chance to race. But rain lingering until nearly 3 pm , proved too much rain for the track to handle.
We are looking at open dates to rescedule the "Let's Go 30". When a new date is selected, we will be sure to share the new date with everyone.
The next Ohio CAT Sprint Car Division race will be May 3rd at Limaland Raceway. Next weekend GLSS travels to Michigan for our Michigan CAT Sprint Car Division dboule header weekend at I-96 Speedway and Crystal Motor Speedway.. Then the GLSS Tour travels to I-75 Speedway the last weekend of April near Sweetwater, TN..
